Alexander Park is a solid, cozy little neighborhood spot — best suited for the 6-and-under crowd. The main play structure is small enough that older kids will likely conquer it in ten minutes and start asking "now what?" But don't count this one out just yet: there's a nice big field, tennis courts, swings, and a half basketball court to round things out. Bonus points for the wall next to the court — great for a scrappy game of dodgeball or knocking a tennis ball around if your kid's into that. Bathrooms have a changing table, which always earns goodwill in our book. Overall, this is a nice, dependable park for a quick outing with younger kids, but not one worth a special trip across town.
